Amid the fervent excitement of the Olympic Games, a concern persists within me. While the world celebrates sporting excellence, pushing physical limits and breaking records, I cannot help but think of another limit we are surpassing: that of our planet.

Global warming threatens us more palpably every day. The effects of climate change are already being felt worldwide, from rising sea levels to extreme weather events.

In this context, the Olympic Games, with their global reach, have the opportunity to be a platform for raising awareness about this crucial issue.

To this end, I have created these three works:

BORDER LINE 
This piece represents the moment when we take that one step too far, where we surpass the rules we have imposed on ourselves. It is a call to action, a reminder that we are at a crucial point where our decisions will determine the future of our planet. The work invites reflection on our actions and the need to transcend self-imposed limitations and rules to embrace positive change. It is a visual representation of the coexistence of hope and despair, pushing us to take that crucial step toward a more sustainable future.

TROPHES 
I see trophies as waste that we do not recycle and accumulate. We are obsessed with individual celebration, with the exaltation of the ego and the accumulation of objects that, in reality, have no intrinsic value. Trophies are not symbols of eternal glory. They are a reminder of our responsibility to the planet and future generations. It is time to stop accumulating waste and start building a more sustainable future, where sports and competition are celebrated in harmony with the environment.

SPORTS D’HIVER 
This is the representation of a dry and arid future that we may or may not reach, depending on the effort we make to get there. This phrase, filled with hope and determination, sums up the essence of the work. A piece that takes the form of an Olympic podium, symbolizing excellence, effort, and self-improvement.

A study published in *Current Issues in Tourism* states that the list of suitable locations for hosting the Winter Olympics will shrink considerably in the coming decades.
